Team PFX (“the Athletics”), a girls travel softball team based out of Clermont, Florida, started the 2016 summer softball season with a camp held at Legends Way Ballfields on April 22-24, 2016.
In addition to the regular coaching staff, Team PFX brought out Olympian-in-training and LSU track and field alumnae Tristan Walker to assist the girls softball team with speed and performance training.
The Camp included two overnight stays at a local hotel, two practices each day, team building exercises, team meals, and even a lesson on how to properly take a nap! The players (and parents) had the opportunity to really get to know one another and to prepare themselves and the Team for the 2016 summer season. Day 1 of the Camp was also live streamed for parents and coaches to enjoy.
Team PFX will be participating in a collegiate softball tour this summer: a 15-day road trip from Florida to Michigan where the softball players will have the opportunity to meet at least a dozen college softball coaches and tour as many campuses. The trip will also include two tournaments, scrimmages, and sight-seeing activities.
