Start of a new era: TEAM PFX 14U

post-game-talk

PFX Athletics has expanded their travel ball organization, TEAM PFX, by adding a 14U team.  The team, made up of 13 players, took the field for the first time last weekend at the USFA Peace, Love, & Softball Tournament. The double elimination, 4 game guarantee tournament took place at our home fields, Legends Way Ballfields in Clermont.

The 14U team represented PFX in a excellent way by coming back from a 3-0 deficit, and tying the game up in the bottom half of the 5th inning in their very first game. With the go ahead run on 3rd base in the bottom of the 6th inning, Cristiana Fore laid down the squeeze bunt to put TEAM PFX up by 1. The runs didn’t stop there as the team scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th to seal their first victory in team history 7-3!

“It was a great way to start our season”, says Head Coach Kristine Dolunt. “The atmosphere was great. The players and parents are just so happy to be apart of PFX, and have really bought in. I couldn’t be happier with how hard the girls have worked, and the support of their families.”

Team PFX 14U will be back in action at Legends Way Ballfields on the weekend of October 1st and 2nd to compete in the NSA Beat Cancer with a Bat Awareness Tournament.
